The "Benedetti La Villa" Winery  Classics of Valpolicella

The generous vineyards, the sunlit hills, the poor, stony, calcareous soil and the tradition of making wine as nature intended for four generations accompany the history and the rise of the Benedetti family. Towards the end of the 1800’s Domenico Benedetti arrived on this land to cultivate grapes. Later Giuseppe Benedetti was the first to produce wine in these hills, followed by his son Adriano and then his grandchildren Simone and Matteo Benedetti. They are the fourth generation of winegrowers who today run the estate as a family business. Benedetti La Villa evokes, on one hand, the name of the Benedetti family, who have cultivated and produced wine on the estate since the 19th century. It also recalls the Roman villa unearthed on the property dating from the 2nd and 3rd century  Since the mid 19th century, the Benedetti family has worked the land bringing together both traditional techniques and modernized, technologically advanced plantings

The "Giribaldi" Winery

The Giribaldi winery began at the beginning of the 20th century and has been producing wines for three generations. In those days, times were hard, and agriculture was not only a means of income but also a real pride for those who loved their land even though it made them suffer so much. It was normal for them to make sacrifices for the land they brought up on Today, thinking of the traditions and love for something alive like wine, we simply continue the work of our father and grandfather with the same passion and devotion. We are a family not only because we represent the third generation of a wine family, but above all, because we are one big FAMILY made up of 10 people, who every day proudly work all together, and share the same passion.

The "Marzaghe" Winery Franciacorta

Marzaghe Franciacorta is a dynamic and small-sized winery whose main feature is high quality. The family-owned vineyards, occupying approximately 6 hectares, are located in the Franciacorta district, between the Mount Alto and the Mount Orfano, whose geographical position and microclimatic exposure are perfect for the wine production to which they are devoted. Furthermore, they are managed and cared for personally in order to obtain grapes, and consequently, above-average wine with particular and distinctive features.

The wine production is intentionally limited to only one wine type, the Franciacorta Docg, which, more than any other wine, is intensified by the peculiarity of the grapes grown in this area. The range of Franciacorta wines includes several categories: brut, satèn, brut millesimato, rosé and dosaggio zero.

The "Cascina Sòt" Winery

Established in 1975, Cascina Sòt is a winery in Monforte d’Alba devoted to the production of great piedmontese wines.

After working for years as sharecroppers in the estate, Maria and Giuseppe bought the property. Then, with their son Leonardo – together with his wife Silvana, the wine business became the main company task.

Today the winery cultivates its own vineyards, some of which are set among the most prestigious cru of Barolo.

Dedicating the best care to the vine plants, precious and straightforward grapes are harvested and, during the vinification phase, are processed to bring out the intrinsic characteristics of each vine. Finally, with aging, the Cascina Sòt wines are further embellished, acquiring valuable tertiary hints.

Thus, from a small winery, wines are created, taken care of down to the finest detail and with the utmost attention paid to every single work step, very expressives and able to enhancing the varietal and the terroir of their origin.

RESPECT FOR THE FUTURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

In the Vineyard

This is our philosophy and these are some expedients we practice in the vineyard:

- Abolition of the use of herbicide in favor of grassing that helps us to keep the soil cooler during the summer season and to avoid erosion during the most violent storms

- Reduction of the use of the most invasive antiparasitics in favor of products that are more eco-sustainable (products based on copper and sulfur).

The "Citille di Sopra" Winery

The Citille di Sopra farm was established in 1997, when the Innocenti family passed it on their son Fabio, who already owned part of them farm since 1992. He decided to set up the wine business alongside the farm's decade-old core business: the cultivation of cereals. A careful evaluation of the soil determined which wine shoots and clones of Sangiovese are best to use. In addition rammed cord are chosen in order to take into account qualitative production values and geographic specificity. Of the more than one hundred hectares of the property, only 5,5 are currently vineyards and these are situated in the best suited area to making Brunello.

Built recently, our cellar was conceived in order to maximize efficiency in production. The grapes brought into the cellar, have their stalks removed and, then are placed into acclimatized tanks, allowing the content monitoring of the wine-making process.
The total capacity the steel tanks, both hose used for vilification and those used for aging, is of more han 1.500 hl.
